This contains information about the general practice of Dr. B. Martina-Hooi, your primary care physician. Please read this carefully. If there are any questions, you can always contact the assistant.

In connection with scheduling the consultation hour, the assistant may ask you about the reason for your visit to the doctor (triage).
You can contact the assistants for the following:
- Dressing of wounds
- Removal of stitches
- Injection of the ears
- Injections and flu shot
- Pregnancy tests
- Certain checkups including blood pressure, weight, and urine.
- Blood sugar check
- Referral letters/authorization requests
- Issue of prescriptions
- Making an appointment for a consultation/check with the doctor
If you only come for a blood pressure check, prescription, referral letter, or any of the above, you do not have to wait in the waiting room until the doctor sees you in consultation. The assistant can perform these operations for you.
Patients who wish to have a pap test must make an appointment for this. Pap test is done in the morning hours.
Sick babies/children under 10 years old will be given priority. Please kindly understand.
Opening hours:
The practice is open every weekday from 07:00 - 12:00 and from 14:00 - 17:00. Between 12:00-14:00 the GP can be reached on mobile number: 663-8749 for emergencies. On Tuesday afternoons, the family doctor only sees emergencies since Tuesday afternoons are reserved for home visits.
On Thursday afternoons, the practice is closed.
Consultation hours:
Consultation hours are every day between 07:30-10:00 in the morning and in the afternoon between 14:00 - 16:00 and are by appointment only.
To make an appointment, you can always do so through Simplex Medical Center's website: www.simplexmedicalcenter.com. Patients who do not have internet access can always call the practice at number 737-7244 to make an appointment or for any questions.
On Thursdays, the practice is open from 7 a.m. to noon.
For emergencies on Thursday afternoons between 12:00-17:00, please call Dr. B. Martina-Hooi at cell. no. 663-8749.
Home visit:
If you are unable to come to the practice, please call the practice to request a home visit. It is best to call early in the morning otherwise a day in advance to schedule the home visit.
Home visits are always done on Tuesday afternoons between 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
It is always preferable to come to the practice as there are better opportunities for examination and treatment in the practice.
Emergencies during consultation hours:
If there is an emergency that requires a home visit by the family doctor, please notify the assistant with the name address, and telephone number, if any, of the patient involved, and the family doctor will make the visit as soon as possible.
Service line:
On any day during the week between 17:00 -07:00 and during weekends and holidays (all day) you can call: 737-7244 to find out which doctor is on duty that day. The doctor on duty should only be called for emergencies. You should always listen to the answering machine carefully and completely. You can also find the cell. number of the GP on duty on the practice website.
Before you call the doctor on duty, make sure you have the name and ID number of the person you are calling for with you, to avoid delay in handling your query.
